The Treatment
Invisalign uses several invisible and removable aligners to straighten your teeth gradually. We’ll provide you with customized trays that slowly shift the placement of your teeth within several months. Each set of aligners is worn for one week and may vary for each patient. They can be removed for eating, drinking, flossing, and brushing. We’ll perform a consultation and use imaging equipment, including x-rays, to examine the condition of your teeth. We’ll take digital impressions of your teeth and show you a 3D rendering of what your smile looks like before starting treatment and your newly transformed smile. The impressions are used to develop several custom aligners that straighten your teeth. Once the aligners are ready, we’ll bond any invisible attachments on your teeth, if necessary, and ensure they fit tightly. We’ll schedule you for a scanning two weeks before the last aligner and assess your teeth’s progress. The length of your treatment is personalized to give you optimal results. We recommend wearing the aligners at least twenty-three hours a day, including while you sleep at night. The treatment includes bleaching, cosmetic contouring, and bonding to get the teeth in accurate placement.
